reflects that of our clients. Participation and support of these
cases is full service. The dedication of resources to graphic creation,

Pro Bono Work for Cabello v Fernandez Larios in
Miami.
ACT on Legal Team in Death Squad Case.
An historic verdict in the trial against Armando Fernandez Larios
for his role in the 1973 Chilean "Caravan of Death" was
awarded to a Bay Area family in the amount of four million dollars
in compensatory and punitive damages. Fernandez Larios was found
liable in his role as a member of a military squad under Augusto
Pinochet for torture, crimes against humanity, and extrajudicial
killing.
The "Caravan of Death" was active in October 1973 during
a two-week span, resulting in at least 72 killings. On October 17th
Winston Cabello, an economist, was taken along with twelve other
political prisoners, tortured and killed.
While those responsible for these acts have escaped accountability
for the past few decades, changing opinions and law have made it
possible for the victim's families to seek justice. The Cabello
family is one of over seventy-two families who have waited over
thirty years for this verdict.
All three of ACT's Divisions (Trial, Graphic and Video) contributed
to the visual presentation of the evidence at the Cabello trial,
for a total of more than 300 man-hours.
ACT is pleased to contribute to the legal community, and welcome
the opportunity to work with your firm on pro bono matters in the
future. Please feel free to contact us at bsmith@advcourttech.com
